BCD M&I is delighted to welcome Andrew Perolls as Managing Director EMEA.

BCD M&I has built a very strong reputation for delivering world-class solutions at both an event and an enterprise level. In addition to his many achievements as a business leader, Perolls also brings a wealth of experience in corporate meetings, high-end special events and global business travel.

"I have been aware of the great work that the company is doing, and am looking forward to helping build on that success throughout the EMEA region and globally. My own background encompasses business travel, corporate meetings and communications, so there is great synergy not only with M&I, but also with its sister company BCD Travel."

Perolls joins BCD M&I from Chambers Travel, where he spent nearly four years as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for managing all offices in the UK and mainland Europe. While at Chambers, he was accountable for both the M&I and business travel segments - with excellent results in terms of sales growth, client retention, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. Prior to Chambers, he spent eight years in a number of executive roles with HRG.

Now in its fifth year, the CMI 25 list is compiled by Penton Media's Corporate Meetings & Incentives® magazine, the leading information source for the corporate meetings and events industry. This unique annual report is the go-to resource for meeting managers and procurement professionals researching information on these critical business partners.

The magazine's editors select CMI 25 companies based on several factors, including the number of meetings and incentive travel programs managed in 2010 and the total number of room nights represented by those meetings and incentives. They also evaluated the number of full-time employees at each company, as well as the percentage of the company's revenues that came from organizing corporate meetings and incentives, versus association meetings or other sources.

Graf a finalist in Entrepreneur Of The Year

Ernst & Young LLP has announced the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Midwest finalists, and BCD M&I's global president, Scott Graf, has been selected as one of only 26 business leaders to join this distinguished list.

This group of outstanding entrepreneurs was selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous winners of the award, leading CEOs, private capital investors and other regional business leaders. Midwest winners will be revealed at a gala on June 22 at the Sheraton Chicago and have a chance to progress to National and World Entrepreneur Of The Year contests.

BCD M&I Expands Regional Presence

ST. LOUIS, April 18, 2011 - BCD M&I has expanded its U.S. presence with a new office in St. Louis, Mo.

Opening the St. Louis office aligns with a very specific and detailed strategic plan BCD M&I developed three years ago to address the growth of the organization. The plan addresses continued expansion in North America, an investment in the Asia Pacific region, a significant focus on new technology solutions and ongoing investments in talent acquisition and retention.

BCD M&I's talent management efforts already have yielded a 17 percent increase in the number of full-time employees since the beginning of 2011. "As the company continues to grow and additional staff is placed in support of our customers, St. Louis will provide an alternative beyond the Chicago headquarters to imbed staff," Graf said. "St. Louis offers us a talent-rich market for our business and the opportunity to further expand our Midwest-based client portfolio."

Bill Callahan, vice president of sales, also expressed his enthusiasm about the opportunity represented by BCD M&I's new office. "To be part of such a dynamic, energized and service focused group of professionals is great in itself, but to be able to do it in my hometown of St. Louis is a very exciting opportunity," said Callahan.

The BCD M&I St. Louis office officially opened on April 4, 2011, at 165 N. Meramec Ave., Suite 120, Clayton, Mo. BCD M&I opened an office in Philadelphia in 2009. The same year BCD M&I acquired San Francisco-based One World Partners, a boutique meetings and events agency that now operates under the BCD M&I brand.

A meeting with a living legend

BCD M&I's Vice President, Marketing & Communications EMEA Matthew Wall was among a delegation of UK meetings agencies who visited Archbishop Desmond Tutu on a recent South Africa visit. The Nobel laureate emphasised the important role that CSR plays in South Africa, and how more companies are looking to leave a lasting legacy from their meetings programmes.
