Our solutions reduce costs for staging events by broadcasting live via the web, enabling communications and messages to be delivered via video and synchronised presentations to a global, invited audience. Questions can be 'blogged' real-time to a presenter, and answered live.

Anyone who misses the event due to time zone differences is able to view the event on demand.

BCD M&I Virtual Meeting Application Features

The BCD M&I Virtual Meeting Application is a high-speed, reliable Content Delivery Network which delivers any rich media content, regardless of audience demand and peak loads.

Combining streaming video with slide presentations, our application can be used for live events (with live video and slide presentation) and on-demand webinars (with pre-recorded slide synchronisation), supporting several streaming protocols (http, rtsp, rtmp) and players (QuickTime and Flash Player).

You can choose between live streams or on-demand video over rtsp, http (pseudo-streaming or progressive download) and rtmp. Supported players are Apple QuickTime (http and rtsp) and Flash Player (http and rtmp).

Video and slide synchronisation forms the core of this application: while your movie plays, a presenter can show slides in real-time (when live streaming) or link a slideshow with pre-recorded timings to the video.

Ask questions: During live streaming you can ask questions which can be answered directly in video mode by the presenter, or via an on-line blogging space during the broadcast.

Chapters: Cut up your on demand video in chapters and provide a title for each chapter. Viewers can jump directly to the chapter they would like to see, and slides will follow accordingly.

Downloads and external links: You can add file attachments and external links to your Virtual Meeting page.

Rich Media Hosting: BCD M&I manages it's own Content Delivery Network, optimised for rich media hosting and streaming. This scalable distribution model gives our clients the possibility to distribute their media using both traditional download (http) and streaming technology. Our Media Servers have dedicated gigabit ethernet uplinks and are located in the major datacenters in Europe. For global projects we have partnerships with coverage in US and Asia. This strategic geographical distribution over different data centers and networks guarantees a fast and reliable connectivity. The number of concurrent users or burst capacity for video is unlimited. For live webinar application hosting, we need an estimate of the expected concurrent users.

Custom development: BCD M&I can provide dedicated custom development to improve the Webinar Application: customised Flash player, design and custom development is done on a project basis after analysing functional requirements.
